Dr. Richard Burchill

Dr. Richard Burchill is a Senior Fellow at the European Foundation for Democracy.  Prior to this he was the Director of Research and Engagement for TRENDS Research & Advisory, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Previously he was Director of the McCoubrey Centre for International Law at the University of Hull, UK.  He has advised, researched and taught on a wide range of issues in global governance and human security.  He is the author/editor of nine books and the author of over sixty other contributions to academic journals, book chapters, and think tanks publications around the world. He has been a visiting professor at universities in Canada, Germany, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
