COVID-19 and disinformation: Russia and China – different strategies, same goals?

The European Foundation for Democracy, in cooperation with the the U.S. Mission to the European Union and European Values Centre for Security Policy, held an online discussion with:

Jakub Janda, Director, European Values Centre for Security Policy
Balkan Devlen, Associate Professor, University of Copenhagen and Senior Fellow, Macdonald-Laurier Institute

Panelists discussed the different approach that Russia and China have towards Europe and their impact on  Western societies in general. The discussion examined the political and economic goals of both countries and it explored their role in spreading disinformation and propaganda during the COVID-19 crisis.
