European Parliament hearing on criminalising forced marriage

EFD led a public hearing on criminalising forced marriage in Europe, hosted by MEP Diana Wallis (Alde, UK), Vice President of the European Parliament, and MEP Jean Lambert (Green Party, UK) on 29th June. Two members of the Liberal Muslims Empowerment Network testified before Parliament about the cultural norms that enable forced marriage in some Muslim communities.
