Fostering resilience towards radicalization: How can vulnerable communities be empowered?

On 9 March 2017, the European Foundation for Democracy, in cooperation with the Counter Extremism Project (CEP), hosted a policy briefing entitled: “Fostering resilience towards radicalization: How can vulnerable communities be empowered?”. Throughout the discussion, experts commented on the parallel societies phenomenon, analyzing the example of Shari'a courts in the UK, and putting forward recommendations on how to tackle this specific issue. 

Guest speakers included: Elham Manea, academic and human rights activist, Fellow at the European Foundation for Democracy; and Roberta Bonazzi, President and Founder of the European Foundation for Democracy (Moderator).
