Good practices in preventing radicalisation and violent extremism: the experience of Morocco

On Tuesday 5th December, the European Foundation for Democracy, in cooperation with the Mission of The Kingdom of Morocco to the European Union and NATO, organised a policy briefing on ‘Good practices in preventing radicalisation and violent extremism: the experience of Morocco’. The briefing was hosted by Anders Primdahl Vistisen MEP, Vice Chairman of the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee (AFET), Group Coordinator on the EP Special Committee on Terrorism (TERR) and Substitute Member of the Delegation for relations with the Maghreb countries and the Arab Maghreb Union.
The debate focussed on the drivers of radicalisation and presented the Moroccan experience in countering radicalisation and violent extremism. Discussions also focussed on EU activities on the prevention of radicalisation in the Maghreb region.
