Improving the Fight Against Violent Extremism in the Euro-Mediterranean Region

The European Foundation for Democracy and the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed) would like to invite you to the presentation of the findings of the 8^th Euromed Survey "Violent Extremism in the Euro-Mediterranean Region", on 6th June 2018 from 11:00 to 13:00.

Violent extremism is a worldwide phenomenon, which is particularly acute in the Euro-Mediterranean area. All 43 countries of the Union for the Mediterranean are affected in one way or another and the focus of the 8th Euromed survey is on the causes and incidence of violent extremism in those countries.

The presentation of the survey results will also provide the opportunity for a debate on how best to improve the fight against violent extremism in the region, with a number of distinguished guest speakers including, including Gilles de Kerchove EU Counter Terrorism Coordinator and Rear Admiral (ret) Kamel Akrout, National Security Senior Adviser to the President, Tunisia.
