ISIS in Afghanistan: old players and new alliances in a complex geopolitical scenario

On May 16 2017, EFD hosted an exchange of views on issues concerning the presence of ISIS in Afghanistan. Afghan expert Kamal Dalili, as well as EFD President Roberta Bonazzi discussed the possible scenarios in this volatile region, the implications for Europe in terms of security and the fight against terrorism, as well as the potential for ISIS to join forces with the Taliban.
