Round table discussion “Islam, Civil Liberties and pluralism”

EFD Senior Fellow Irshad Manji discussed issues of civil liberties and universal human rights in Islam.

Ms. Manji also screened her recent documentary "Faith without Fear" and addressed the key difference between a Muslim reformer and a "moderate" Muslim, on women's rights and on democracy and Islam.

As expalined by by Ms Manji, "moderate" Muslims do not recognise any problems in Islam, whereas Muslim reformers acknowledge them and use their mind to address them.
