La European Foundation for Democracy e La Stampa – Gruppo GEDI News Network, organizzano una dibattito sull’assalto a Capitol Hill del 6 gennaio 2021. I relatori esamineranno i fatti e gli eventi che hanno portato all'attacco da parte dei manifestanti, ma soprattutto il significato più ampio di un fenomeno politico-sociale dal quale l’Italia e l’Europa non sono immuni.
Quali sono le analogie e i parallelismi tra il contesto USA e l’Europa? Come affrontare le criticità del fenomeno? È possibile mitigarne l’impatto? Queste e altre tematiche verranno affrontate durante la discussione online.

The European Foundation for Democracy, in cooperation with La Stampa – Gruppo GEDI News Network, organises on online discussion to assess the facts and events that led to the storming of Capitol Hill on 6 January 2021. Experts will also examine the implications of a complex socio-political phenomenon from which Italy and Europe are not immune.
What are the similarities and parallels between the US and European contexts? How can it be addressed? Is it possible to mitigate its effects? These and other questions will be addressed during the online discussion.
