‘Break the Cross’, ISIS wages war on Christians

01 August 2016

EFD Senior Fellow Valentina Colombo comments on the latest (15th) issue of the Islamic State's propaganda magazine, Dabiq, titled "Break the Cross". In this issue, ISIS calls for others to join "the religion of pure monotheism, truth, mercy, justice, and the sword" and presents the example of converts from Finland, Trinidad and Tobago, etc. The Islamic State, highlights Colombo, is proving to be flexible and pragmatic and is emphasizing the weakness of Christianity. Colombo concludes stating that "the Cross will not be broken if we defend it, but if we abandon it it will break even before the arrival of the next jihadist."
