Call for urgent rethink on EU policies aimed at tackling extremism

EFD Senior Fellow Magnus Norell comments on the threat of extremism that the EU has faced in 2015 and will most likely face for the duration 2016. As he explains, “there is no reason to believe that this pattern [of Islamist-inspired attacks] will change in the foreseeable future.” Therefore, Magnus Norell stresses “what is urgently needed is for politicians and regulators to push the reset button, think more outside the box and look at the reality of life in Europe in 2016.”
