Charges of ‘Islamophobia’ prelude to terrorism

EFD Senior Fellow Valentina Colombo highlights that abusing the accusation of "Islamophobia" against whoever criticises Islam brings about a fertile ground for violent actions against alleged "islamophobes". This is what tragically happened with the terrorist attacks against Charlie Hebdo: while certain Islamist organisations have deplored the killings, they had repeatedly denounced the Charlie Hebdo's journalists as "islamophobes", which equates to say "ennemies of Islam". Such accusation, on top of increasing hatred towards the West and its values, may be read by some individuals as an incitation to kill.
