Former Al Qaeda extremist will join George Washington University’s program studying terrorism

"The program’s director, Lorenzo Vidino, hopes that Morton’s perspective as a reformed extremist will provide details in how these terrorist networks function. “Mr. Morton’s affiliation is groundbreaking, as this is the first time the perspective of a U.S.-born former Islamist extremist will be inserted into the American arena,” Vidino said in a statement."
