How real is the threat from dormant Isis cells in Italy?

26 April 2016

EFD Senior Policy Advisor Lorenzo Vidino is quoted by The Local (It) on how realistic is the threat Italy is facing today when it comes to terrorism.

After the Paris and Brussels attacks, all European countries have been on high alert. Italy has ever since been on level 2 alert, but Vidino claims that Germany, France and the UK are at a higher risk than Italy is.

Vidino's comments were a response to James Clapper's statements: the US Director of National Intelligence in fact responded affirmatively when asked if Italy, Germany and the UK are facing realistic terrorism threats.
