Irshad Manji interviewed on detention of U.S. Muslims by Pakistan

EFD's Senior Fellow Irshad Manji addressed Muslim stereotypes by making a distinction between moderate and reformist Muslims.
She stressed that moderate Muslims should not "abdicate" from their responsibility to talk about the role Islam plays in violence committed in its name. Asked about her reaction to the detention of the U.S. Muslims who were allegedly trying to join up with insurgents in Pakistan and Afghanistan, Professor Manji said she was not surprised, adding radicalisation was "on the rise in many parts of the West- including the U.S. - and was no longer limited to Europe".
