Timbuktu Institute calls for Macky Sall for interregional and inclusive initiative (CEDAO-CEEAC) against terrorism

EFD Senior Fellow Dr. Bakary Sambe is quoted by the Senegalese online newspaper Setal on the latest regarding terrorism in the West Africa region.

"The recent meeting in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) against terrorism is a first step, but is insufficient if it is not followed by an inclusive inter-regional initiative at the ECOWAS level; Senegal cannot remain outside the regional framework under these threats that have an increasingly transnational character".
