Two candidates for the Democratic Party of Milan, due different versions of the Islamic world

EFD Senior Fellow Valentina Colombo is quoted by the prominent Italian newspaper Il Foglio when commenting the recent decision of the Italian  Democratic Party to candidate Sumaya Abdel Qader as councilwoman for the upcoming municipal elections of Milan. “The only posting Sumaya Abdel Qader always avoids pointing out is her most prestigious one: manager for the youth department and students of the Fioe (Federation of Islamic Organizations in Europe), the main portrayal of the Muslim Brotherhood in Europe (..)”, claims Colombo after Sumaya Abdel Qader had promoted the project ‘Aisha’ to endorse gender equality and to better integrate herself in the politics of Milan.
