We speak far too infrequently about political topics

08 June 2015

EFD Programme Director Ahmad Mansour is interviewed in Germany’s Der Tagesspiegel newspaper on rising anti-Semitism among young Muslims in Germany, and what can be done to prevent it. He states that the youngsters have a simplified view of the Middle East Conflict, and that they are particularly receptive for conspiracy theories which hold the Jewish people responsible for global problems. Ahmad states young people should be given more chances to discuss political topics and deepen their knowledge. He calls for frank, open debates about the Middle East Conflict to be carried out in German schools.

The interview is in German and can be read here.
